Providence deals with a fascinating variety of Forensic Accounting projects. Here are just some examples:
Fatal medical negligence: Reported on loss of earnings, loss of opportunity, loss of estate accumulation, and tax planning issues going forward in the case of a deceased solicitor. Carried out detailed research and assisted in significant financial discovery during the course of preparation for this case which settled in the High Court Dublin in December 2005 for €5 million.
Commercial case: Prepared reports on consequential loss arising from disruption of mussel production by a private company arising from port works carried out by a local authority. Attended to follow evidence of expert for the plaintiff, give evidence in chief, and cross-examination over a period of 9 days out of a 13 day hearing. Case settled at hearing in the region of valuation presented in my final report.
